Booking for local businesses

AI can book you now — even if you only answer the phone.

ChatGPT, Claude, and any AI assistant can book, reschedule, and cancel real appointments at your business. Every one waits for a person to say yes.

The gap

Your front desk clocks out. The bookings don't.

Requests come after hours, during appointments, and on the days you're slammed — exactly when no one can pick up. An AI that books on your behalf answers all of them, without adding a person to your front desk.

Live in an afternoon

Connected to converting, without touching your calendar.

Step one

Tell us how you book

Cal.com, Acuity, your own site, or just a phone number. We detect the fastest way to book you.

Step two

Claim your listing

Confirm it's you and set what AI is allowed to do. Credentials are encrypted; we never see them in the clear.

Step three

Start taking bookings

Every AI assistant can now book you — and every booking pauses for a human yes before it's final.

The part that matters

An AI can't book you without a real yes.

Every booking, reschedule, and cancellation stops at a confirmation your customer has to approve. The approval is single-use, expires, and can't be replayed — so an agent can never quietly commit you to something.

  • Cryptographic confirmation on every write
  • Full audit trail of what the AI did, and when
  • Scoped permissions — you decide what AI can touch

The long tail

Works even if you have no software.

Most tools only reach businesses that already run modern scheduling software. We reach the rest. If you're on a booking platform, bookings are instant. If you're not, we fall back — browser, then a phone call, then a person — so an AI always has a way to book you.

Find your business's path
Trust, by default

Engineered to a stricter standard than main-street booking needs.

Minimal customer data, encrypted credentials, human confirmation on every write, and an audit trail you could hand to a compliance officer.

A clear line: BookBridge does not currently serve medical or dental practices, and our terms prohibit submitting any health information. Healthcare scheduling is on our roadmap for the future — after we complete a dedicated HIPAA compliance program. Veterinarians, pet groomers, and pet-care businesses are a different story: fully supported and encouraged — animal care isn't covered by human health-privacy laws like HIPAA.

Salons & barbershops
Fill last-minute openings around the clock without a receptionist on call.
Pet groomers & veterinary
Pet appointments book after hours too — and pet care isn't bound by human health-privacy rules.
Home & auto services
Book jobs while your crew is on-site and the phone would otherwise ring out.
Fitness, tutors & studios
Classes, lessons, and sessions — rescheduled and refilled without the back-and-forth.

How to book an appointment with AI.

The exact words to use, what your assistant does behind the scenes, and what happens when your first choice isn't open.

STEP 1 — JUST ASK
Tell your assistant what you want
Say it like you'd say it to a friend:
“Book me a gel manicure at Luna Nails & Spa in Lehi this Friday at 2pm. I'm Maya — 801‑555‑0142.”
Your assistant finds the business in our directory, checks real availability, and lines up the slot.
STEP 2 — YOU APPROVE
Nothing books until you say yes
The assistant shows you exactly what it's about to book — service, time, business — and waits. Say confirm and it's placed; the confirmation is single-use and expires in 15 minutes.
If your time is taken, you'll get the nearest open alternatives to pick from instead of a dead end.
FOR BUSINESS OWNERS
One calendar, every door
Sign up and you get a shareable booking page — …/book/your‑business — for your website, Instagram bio, or voicemail. Humans book there; AI assistants book through our API. Same calendar, no double-booking, you can require a confirmation on every one.
For developers & agent builders — the MCP tools behind this +
Connect your agent to the BookBridge MCP server with a scoped API key, then the whole flow is four tools:
find_local_business({ query: "Luna Nails", city: "Lehi" })
book_local_appointment({ query, startAt, customer, idempotencyKey })
→ confirmation_required · show the summary to your user
confirm_consent({ consentRecordId }) → resubmit → booked or booking_pending
check_fulfillment({ jobId }) → status, or alternatives to accept_alternative()
Every write is consent-gated and idempotent; sending the same idempotency key twice can never double-book.

Questions, answered plainly.

Can the AI book something without my customer agreeing? +
No. Every booking returns a "confirmation required" step and only goes through once a person approves it. The approval is single-use and can't be replayed.
Do I have to switch my scheduler? +
Never. We sit on top of Cal.com or Google Calendar and normalize them — and if you have no scheduler at all, our built-in calendar and free booking page are set up for you the moment you sign up.
What if I don't have any booking software? +
You're still covered. If you have a website scheduler we book it in a browser; if you only have a phone, an AI voice agent calls and books; and a human backs up anything automation can't finish.
Can medical or dental practices use BookBridge? +
Not yet — by design. BookBridge does not currently serve medical, dental, or other human-healthcare providers, and our terms prohibit submitting any health information. We plan to offer healthcare scheduling in the future, once our dedicated HIPAA compliance program is complete. Pet care and veterinary businesses are welcome — animal records aren't covered by HIPAA.
How do you protect customer data? +
We store scheduling logistics only — names, contact details, appointment times. Provider credentials are envelope-encrypted (AES-256-GCM), every AI write waits for explicit human confirmation, webhooks are signature-verified and replay-proof, and account actions land in an immutable audit log. See our privacy policy for the full picture, including your rights and our subprocessors.
How long until I'm live? +
Most businesses connect a provider and go live the same day. Point an AI assistant at us and it starts booking you within minutes.
Developer-ready

One booking layer, exposed three ways.

API

Stable REST contract

Profile, services, availability, booking, reschedule, cancel, consent, webhooks, and billing endpoints are normalized under one API.

MCP

Agent-native tools

The MCP server exposes booking actions directly to assistants while preserving scoped tokens, idempotency, and confirmation gates.

Status

Operational visibility

The dashboard shows integration health, fulfillment queues, dead letters, audit events, and billing usage so operators know what happened.

Why we built this

People are starting to ask their AI to do things, not just answer questions.

"The first time someone tells their assistant to 'book me a cleaning next week,' it should just work — even for the small practice down the street that never had an app. That's the whole reason BookBridge exists: to be the booking layer for the businesses the rest of the internet skipped."
The BookBridge team
Privacy

Minimal data, explicit permission.

BookBridge stores only what is needed to route, confirm, and audit appointment actions. Secrets are encrypted, write actions are scoped, and every booking waits for a human confirmation.

What we keepminimal

Business profile, service metadata, booking attempt history, consent records, and non-sensitive audit details.

What we protectencrypted

Provider credentials, webhook secrets, and account access all stay behind least-privilege controls.
